Hoover's 360° Company InformationRedesigned Hoover's company records to create a 360° view of information. Updated the site header, adding a persistent, tabbed navigation throughout the site.
Hoover's IndexThis site was concepted as a publishing showcase for Hoover's. I designed this site to appear as a printed newspaper, using clean lines, minimal color, and a serif font in appropriate places.
Sales and Marketing Performance CenterThis section was created as a destination page for sales and marketing professionals on Hoover's. I created a slick, sophisticated design in order to appeal to this audience and ensure a return visit.
BizmologyBizmology is a business information blog written by Hoover's editors. I designed this site to match the quirky nature of their writing. I also created the comic-like effect on the pictures that were taken onsite.
Lone Star Paralysis FoundationThis site was created for the AIR-Austin Accessibility competition and won first place in the Stockcar competition. I created the design for this site, keeping the audience top of mind by incorporating elements such as large navigation buttons and high-contrast colors.
ViaNovoThis is the corporate Web site for ViaNovo, a public affairs company in Austin, Texas. This site launched as the new organization's major branding presence.
Texas Folklife ResourcesThis Web site is entirely based on the phenominal photos provided by the client of actual events. Using unique textures and colors as a backdrop, I tried to capture the feel of the folklife in Texas, providing a backdrop for the dramatic black and white photos.
Hoover's Trivia ChallengeI created a whimsical design for the Hoover's Trivia Challenge, giving it a distinct personality. I wanted to engage the user by encouraging them to press the overly large button to enter the trivia challenge.
MergeMerge is the twenty-something arm of Gateway Church in Austin. In order to appeal to this demographic while keeping with the very un-churchy feel of Gateway Church, I designed this site using a grunge theme.

Kid's QuestI created the design and illustrations for this site, based on the building that housed the children's ministries at Gateway Church. After taking photos of the designs in the building, I expanded on the traveling and adventure metaphor that is dominant in the building.
TimeCapsule Gown Preservation FlyerThis flyer was created with two constraints: the file must be in black and white only and must be printed at Kinkos, which reduces the possibility of using a bleed. This flyer would hang in the windows of various area dry cleaners as well as be handed out to customers.
Christmas CardI created this Christmas Card using unusual holiday colors for me to mail to my clients and contacts through my freelance business. The front panel contained four squares of illustrations that I created myself. When you opened the card, the squares changed to panels of a giftbox in the background of the card's message.
Texas Coalition for ConservationThis site was designed around the nature photos taken by the President of this organization. The design behind the photos is very clean, showcasing the photos in an almost gallery-like manner.
The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of TexasThis site was created as an information hub for the Alabama-Coushatta tribe of Texas. All photos were taken onsite by a colleague and I used them as my inspiration. Tribal symbols and deep colors carry the traditional tribe through to the Web.
Texas Environmental Grantmakers Group BrochureThis brochure was mailed out to Texas Funders to help influence their thoughts concerning Climate Change and Global Warming. The client provided all of the text for the brochure, which I was able to distribute throughout in this 6x9 trifold brochure.
Seven C's Poster and TentcardThe poster and tentcard were created as an internal project to be displayed in the various conference rooms throughout Hoover's.
Hoover's Summer Party InvitationThis invitation was created with bright colors to emphasize the kid-friendly nature of the Hoover's Summer Party. The party was being held at a ranch, so I wanted to capture the Western feel of the location without going overboard.
